The Furthest East: Requiem - A story of Koryo-Saram
The second part of my MFA thesis, The Furthest East: Requiem, is a grim continuation of the story of Koryo-saram family. The joyful, peaceful life they had in a Korean village in the Far East is shattered by an impending threat from the authorities who forcefully deport the entire community to the barren lands of Central Asia. This web-based 2D experience features more than twenty interactive paintings illustrating the authentic testimonies of the survivors of the deportations of 1937 recorded by the GULAG History Museum and Victoria Kim.
This project is made for educational purposes only as a part of my Master's thesis. It is completely free and does not generate revenue.
